This weeks recipe is homemade hummus! We have been using this recipe for years and when all the steps are followed it yields a super smooth & creamy hummus. Use as a dip for veggies or crackers, spread on toast, use in a wrap...the possibilities are endless. The only items you cant find in store are fresh garlic & lemon.

1/4 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 c. tahini
1 clove of garlic minced
2 tbsp olive oil
3/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cumin, ground
2-3 tbsp water
Optional * sesame seeds, garlic oil, smoked paprika
1. In a food processor, process lemon juice & tahini for 1 minute. Scrape sides & process 30 seconds.
2. Add olive oil, minced garlic, cumin & salt. Process 30 seconds, scrape, process 30 seconds
3. Add half of the chick peas & process for 1 minute. Scrape sides & add the rest of the chick peas and process 1-2 minutes.
