Ingredients: Basmati rice
Preparation: Rinse rice briefly under cold running water. In a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid, bring 2 cups of water, 1 cup of basmati rice and ¼ teaspoon salt (optional) to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, cover with lid and cook for 15-20 min. until all water is absorbed. Remove from heat, let set covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
